Commercial Heat Pump Installation

MCS-certified heat pump design, supply and installation for commercial buildings across the North West. Grants of up to £7,500 available through the Boiler Upgrade Scheme.

The Smart Alternative to Gas

Heat pumps are one of the most efficient ways to heat a commercial building. By extracting natural warmth from the air or ground outside, they deliver three to four times more energy than they consume, making them significantly cheaper to run than traditional gas boilers.

As an MCS-certified installer, we design and install heat pump systems that are tailored to your building's specific needs. MCS certification is your guarantee that the installation meets the highest standards of quality and performance, and it is also a requirement for accessing government grants.

We have been installing commercial heating systems for over 60 years. Heat pumps are the future of heating, and we bring the same engineering expertise to every installation.

Commercial heat pump installation

Air Source & Ground Source Heat Pumps

Two proven technologies, each suited to different buildings and site conditions. We help you choose the right one.

🌀

Air Source Heat Pumps

Extract heat from the outside air, even in cold weather. Lower installation cost, minimal ground disruption and suitable for most commercial sites.

🌍

Ground Source Heat Pumps

Extract heat from underground via buried pipework. Higher efficiency and consistent performance year-round, ideal for sites with available land.

📈

Design & Sizing

Full heat loss calculations and system design to ensure the right capacity for your building. No guesswork, just engineering.

🔨

Installation & Commissioning

Professional installation by our qualified engineers, followed by thorough commissioning and system handover with full documentation.

Modern commercial office heated by heat pump

Simple, Proven Technology

A heat pump works on the same principle as a fridge, but in reverse. Instead of extracting warmth from inside and pushing it out, a heat pump extracts warmth from outside and brings it into your building.

Even when temperatures drop below freezing, there is still usable heat in the air and ground. The heat pump concentrates this low-grade heat and raises it to a temperature suitable for heating your building and your hot water.

Because the system is moving heat rather than generating it by burning fuel, a heat pump delivers 300% to 400% efficiency. For every £1 of electricity used, you get £3 to £4 worth of heat.

Financial Support for Your Installation

The government's Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) provides grants of up to £7,500 towards the cost of a heat pump installation. This applies to both air source and ground source systems.

On top of the grant, energy-saving installations currently qualify for 0% VAT until March 2027, reducing the overall cost even further.

When combined with solar PV and battery storage, you can generate your own electricity to power the heat pump, dramatically cutting your energy bills and reducing your carbon footprint at the same time.

As MCS-certified installers, we handle the entire grant application process. There is no complicated paperwork for you to deal with.

Heat Pump FAQs

How much does a commercial heat pump cost?

The cost varies depending on the size of your building, the type of system and the complexity of the installation. Grants of up to £7,500 are available through the Boiler Upgrade Scheme, and energy-saving installations benefit from 0% VAT until March 2027. We provide detailed, no-obligation quotations for every project.

How much can a heat pump save on running costs?

Heat pumps are significantly more efficient than gas boilers. For every 1kW of electricity used, a heat pump typically produces 3 to 4kW of heat. This means running costs can be substantially lower than traditional gas systems, particularly when combined with solar PV to offset electricity consumption.

Are heat pumps suitable for my commercial building?

Heat pumps are suitable for a wide range of commercial buildings including offices, schools, healthcare facilities, retail units, industrial premises and public sector buildings. We carry out a full site survey and energy assessment to determine the best system for your property.

What is the Boiler Upgrade Scheme?

The Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) is a government grant that provides up to £7,500 towards the cost of a heat pump installation. To qualify, the work must be carried out by an MCS-certified installer. As an MCS-certified company, we handle the entire application process on your behalf so there is no complicated paperwork for you to deal with.
